We have been Modern Air customers for many years. We are completely satisfied with the work they have done for us. And now that Modern Air has added Plumbing Services to their company, we have become very satisfied customers with their plumbing department as well. We recently had our toilets reseated. Brian Kohutek and his assistant Duncan worked quickly and efficiently. They did excellent work and respected our home, making sure they took precautions to keep our house clean during their work and afterwards. I offer the highest recommendation possible for both their Plumbing Department and their A/C services. They kept our old A/C unit running for years and then replaced it with a new unit when the old one finally gave out. The A/C unit installation and subsequent service was and is exceptional. Their prices are fair and the work is guaranteed. So if you need A/C or plumbing work done, I urge you to GO MODERN.

We are so thankful we found an honest HVAC company Oct 14, 2025

Eric and his associate were professional, honest, and extremely competent. On Monday, we had another company do a yearly service on our AC unit. When we scheduled the appointment, I requested a senior technician. They sent an employee with only a few years' experience and no supervisor. He was not in a company vehicle and did not leave any paperwork with the AC unit readings or the service checklist. We have two units. Both were working before the service call. At the end of the call, the tech said that one unit was -25 low and our second unit was -15 low on Freon. He said they could not be repaired. He immediately started talking about how expensive Freon is now, and we needed to buy two new units. We left for the afternoon. When we arrived home at the end of the day, the downstairs unit was not working. The next day, the company even sent a "comfort care specialist" to try to sell us two new units. He checked the outside power to the unit and said the power was on. Something did not sit right with me and my husband. After talking with my neighbor (a Modern Air customer since 1992), I called Modern Air. They discovered the inside breaker was flipped for the unit that was not working. After doing a thorough service on both units, one unit needed a new capacitor, and the other unit needed a quick start pack. When they cleaned the outside units, I could see that the other company had not cleaned the units. I thought the pleats were gray. After Modern Air cleaned the pleats, they are black again. Both units are running perfectly, and the Freon is not as low as the other company tried to tell us. Please do not let other companies try to sell you a new unit if you do not need one. The other company tried to scam us. We are so thankful we found an honest HVAC company with honest employees that are willing to go the extra mile for their customers. I will never use another HVAC company.
