In 2023, we changed our name from Ratterree Heat and Air to Modern Air Services. After more than 50 years serving Dallas/Fort Worth, that decision wasn’t taken lightly. A new name had to make sense for the customers who’d known us for decades and the ones finding us for the first time.
A company name carries trust. It represents the workmanship, the conversations, and the dependability customers remember long after a service visit is complete.

A New Name, The Same Commitment
We chose Modern Air Services because it’s clear, memorable, and built for the way people search for HVAC service today. As our team put it during the rebrand, the goal was something “easy to remember, easy to tell your friend about.” That practical focus reflects how we approach every job: communicate clearly, make honest recommendations, and treat every customer with respect.
The name changed. Our responsibility to the people who rely on us didn’t. We’re still a family-owned company focused on personal relationships and transparent pricing—not on treating every call as a transaction.
Longevity Means the People Stayed Too
Fifty years in business is only meaningful if the people doing the work have stayed long enough to really own the standards. We’re still guided by the same leadership—as the video puts it, “the same principals, same owners.” Many of our staff have been with us for 20 to 30 years. That continuity isn’t just a talking point; it shows up in how our technicians communicate, how they approach a job, and how they treat a home or business that’s been on our books for decades.
Moving Forward Without Losing What Works
A rebrand can look like a fresh start, but for us it was more of a forward step than a pivot. Whether a customer needs routine maintenance, a repair, or a complete system installation, our factory-certified technicians bring the same reliable communication, quality workmanship, and honest guidance they always have. Customers should feel informed about their options and confident they’re working with a company that will be there when it matters.
